Rules

 

I. The International Youth Soccer Tournament entitled "Estorilfoot" will be held between the 21st and 27th June 2009, in which the games will be played according to the laws of seven-a-side football.

II. Sunday, June 21st at 4pm the Opening Ceremony will take place at the Antonio Coimbra da Mota Stadium at Estoril, with a large parade of all the participating.

III. Every entourage will participate in the opening parade.

IV. For the Opening Ceremony bring the Club or School flag.

V. Monday, June 22nd and Tuesday, June 23rd, the first stage games will take place. Second stage games will take place on Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th. Third stage games will take place on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th.

VI. On Saturday June 27th, from 12.30pm, the Closing Ceremony will take place at the Stadium.

VII. All entourage will leave between Saturday June 27th and Sunday June 28th.

VIII. During the tournament’s first stage, teams will be split into groups of four.

IX. On the second stage, the teams that come first and second in their first stage groups will play in Group A, split into groups of four teams. Teams that come third and fourth in their first stage will play in Group B, split into groups of four teams.

X. The third stage (Qualifying stage) will be by elimination and in the event of a draw at the end of a game, with the exception of the finals, there won't be extra time and penalties will be taken in the following way:
There will be three penalties per team. The winning team will be the one that scores the most. Penalties will be taken by players who have taken part in the match.

XI. The organisation will not be held responsible for the actions of the entourage, but disciplinary measures will be taken in case of anything that happens.

XIII. Every participating must accept the Tournament rules, without reservations.

XIV. Before the first game, the delegates from each team must present their team’s paperwork to the pitch supervisor, including players ID Cards.

XV. These documents will be returned after each team's last game.

XVI. Every member of the backroom staff, present on the bench must wear either a track suit or shorts and polo shirt, Without exception.

XVII. Timekeeping: All schedules must be rigorously followed. Teams must be ready fifteen minutes before the start of every game.

XVIII. At the start of every game, the teams will walk onto the pitch side by side, in a row, headed by the referee, towards the centre of the pitch.

XIX. With the team captains either side of the referee, they will line up and acknowledge the public.

XX. Then they will greet the other team.

XXI. Each club can only participate with one team per age group.

XXII. Each team will pay an entry fee of one hundred euro.

XXIII. Bottles of water will be given out to every team during the tournament.
